SPRINGFIELD – State Rep. LaToya Greenwood, D-East St. Louis, issued the following statement Friday:

“House Democrats have prepared an honest, balanced budget that cuts nearly $3 billion in state bureaucracy and spending. By working together, Democrats and Republicans have agreed on the framework for this budget plan. Today we moved forward towards a budget compromise but no one’s job is done, and I am ready to continue working to end this budget crisis and get our state back on track. I ask the governor to not derail the progress Democrats and Republicans are making towards ending the budget impasse.”
