CHICAGO – State Rep. Melissa Conyears-Ervin, D-Chicago, met with community members Saturday to discuss the legislative session and answer questions over coffee. Conyears-Ervin’s ‘Coffee Conversation’ is a regular event hosted by the representative at local coffee shops where she meets informally with members of the community to talk about the work she is doing and community concerns.
“Every time I host these ‘Coffee and Conversations’ events, I am so pleased with the thoughtful conversation and questions that members of our community have about what is going on in Springfield and our district,” Conyears-Ervin said. “Casual conversations like these help me best represent our community and the needs of our families.”
Over 20 community members attended Saturday’s coffee. ‘Coffee and Conversation’ will be a regular monthly event hosted at coffee shops in the 10th district where community members can have casual conversation with Conyears-Ervin.
For more information or for other questions and concerns her office can be reached by phone at 773-417-1020 or by email at Rep@ConyearsErvin.com.
